Bigin (Shield) Bowl is an unique pottery design, specific to the Girringun Artist Collective. Inspired by the shape and form of the traditional rainforest shields (bigin) of the Girringun region these hand-made and individually painted ceramic bowls are highly collectible. Traditionally made from a light weight timber the shields were used in battle and painted in patterns which reflected tribal affiliations.
